(Dovgalevskaya) - (1916 - 1999).
Vera Dovgalevska was born in a province of Kiev, Ukraine. After graduating from the Kiev Art College, she studied at Kiev Art Institute from 1932 to 1937 under tuition of P. Volokidin, K. Eleva and F. Krichevski. Began exhibiting in 1953. Member of the Union of Artists. Widely exhibited in the USSR and abroad: in London, England, France, Finland and Norway. Specialised in still-lifes. Her paintings are in the collections of the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture and Arts, Ukrainian Art Museum and many private collections at home and abroad.
